After School Club

£13.50 is charged per session from:

3:15p.m. – 6:15p.m

MEALS

A high tea will be offered each day at Little Thurrock after school club. This will consist of an assortment of healthy nutritional hot & cold snacks such as:

Pasta dishes

Jacket potatoes

Wraps

Sandwiches

Soups & salads

Fruit portions

Yoghurt

Water is always available for children to help themselves to.

Copies of our menus will be displayed on the Parents Notice Board and the food provided will be additive and colour free as much as is feasible. Specific dietary requirements can be accommodated, subject to adequate notice.

Care

The children are received by a member of staff at the beginning of each session, throughout which, each individual child is catered for according to his/her age and needs.

A general programme of activities on offer will be posted on the Parents Notice Board. The programme of activities will be researched and planned to best utilise the areas of Little Thurrock after school club.

Parents should provide soft-soled indoor shoes and appropriate outdoor shoes and clothing. Aprons will be worn during messy play and painting however, we cannot be held responsible for damage to clothes.

Storage areas are provided in a suitable area of the club so that parents may temporarily leave personal items if desired.


General routine at Little Thurrock
after school club

3:15 p.m. – 3:45 p.m.

Registration

Infant children will be collected from their class and junior children collected from the designated meeting point on the school grounds.

After the register has been called a brief discussion will be held on matters of importance and the days planned activities.


3:45 p.m. – 5:45 p.m.

Each day offers different activities, including:-

Drama/Imaginary play

Board Games & Puzzles

Pool Table/ Air Hockey

Computer Time

Console Games

Movie Time

Snug Corner

A programme of structured activities will be offered each day, during which, staff are present to supervise and encourage the activities, but not to instruct.

The intent and purpose of the provision is to offer child led free play. A snack will be provided within this time.


5:45 p.m. – 6:15 p.m.

Club closes.
